		<description>This is Jessica, one of the teachers for TKD@CMU. Right now we are mostly teaching Taekwondo and Shito-Ryu Karate Do to the level of the people who come (ie, if you are a beginner we can start out with how to punch and block and do basic one-steps and self-defense but if you&#039;re more advanced we can also do more of a &quot;seminar&quot; style class where an individual teacher will take you aside and teach you advanced material). So the answer to your questions is, yes and no. Though we have all competed (in one case nationally) we are not currently including free sparring in our curriculum because 1) we want to make sure everyone can spar safely before we start sparring 2) CMU&#039;s student governance group doesn&#039;t want students to hit each other.</description>
